In the Mailbox...Not in the Bushes

"In the Mailbox...Not in the Bushes!" Have you heard this yet? If not, just turn on your radio or take a look at a few of the Spotlight ads in this publication.
It is a defining statement. Not only does it tell you where you will always find our publication, but that we are in the forefront of new marketing ideas not in the dark ages.

Offering free classified ads to our readers is where you will always find this publication.

Distributing a free publication both by mail and online is where you will always find this publication. (I do have to repeat this - FREE by mail & FREE online. Why would we charge for advertising and then also charge for reading? Especially online? It will never happen with the Spotlight.)

Using our social networking and online presence to drive customers directly into local businesses via Facebook, Twitter, and especially BOCODOD is where you will always find this publication.

Mailing directly to 20,000 mailboxes each time we print and not calling that "extra" is where you will always find this publication.

Not making up bogus contests to charge businesses to say "Thanks" is where you will always find this publication.

While these may be the basis of what we are or are not, we will also always change.

With this being our tenth issue, I was recently looking over our first couple issues. I see so many things that have been added and a few that have been removed. Imagine the changes in six months, a year, or even five years.

In the next few months, you will begin to see even more change including major updates like overall paper format to other updates in content like more contests, more articles, and even an additional online version. You have already seen the phenomenon that is BOCODOD.

In the end, we hope that you enjoy our updates, and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

Just remember, we will always be different, and (even though we were told it cannot be done), we will always be  "In the Mailbox...Not in the Bushes!"
