It seems that it was just summer, and we were waiting for it to cool down. Now, it already feels cold enough to want the warmer temperatures back. The seasons change quickly and the months come and go. Another holiday season is upon us and a new year will, of course, follow shortly.

December is here which means we are in one of the busiest shopping times of the year and while we have seen Black Friday pass us by, there are still plenty of deals available to us.
With that, I want to remind everyone that we have quite a shopping experience available right here in Boone County. I know we have mentioned this before, but is just as important (if not more) now as any other time of the year.
We have always been a huge supporter of local business. While you do see the occasional out of state ad, most of our deals come from right here in Boone County. With that said, I want to remind everyone to, at the very least, consider shopping local before heading off to Branson, Springfield, or even looking online for your holiday purchases. Almost everything you would want can be found right here in Boone County.
Looking for an iPad or similar product? Check out Verizon Wireless. An iPod or other MP3 player? Wal-Mart keeps these in stock. Video games? Be sure to visit Game Exchange or even the new Game Stop. Clothing? While there are too many to list, you easily will find what you want at Frenzy, Bungalow, Maurice's, or Lefler's. A great new flat screen TV? Don't forget about Sears or even Mistler's for that matter. Jewelry? Dey Gem and Shipman's have so much to offer at great prices.
While I know these are only a few of the popular items on many lists, they and many other items can easily be found right here locally.
Many people who were quick to support the Wet issue due to the dollars that were unnecessarily leaving Boone County do not think twice about hopping in the car to go out of the area to look for a deal before they even look here locally. Are you guilty?
If so, no big deal. Just be sure to consider shopping local first.
While we want everyone to save money, we just want to remind everyone that there are plenty of opportunities to save money here, also.
